A woman has been charged after a male soldier was allegedly stabbed at a large army base in Queensland.
Emergency services received reports of an altercation at Enoggera Barracks - also known as Gallipoli Barracks - in north-west Brisbane about 12.20pm on Friday.
'A man sustained a non-life-threatening puncture wound during the alleged altercation,' a Queensland Police spokesperson said.
The 48-years-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.
A 31-year-old woman was taken into custody within nine minutes and officers also seizing a weapon from the scene.
The woman allegedly stabbed the man following an altercation, 9News reported.
She has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and in company and is expected to appear before a Brisbane court on Saturday.
The barracks, which are part of one of Australia's largest military bases, was buzzing with activity as multiple police cars were seen coming and going on Friday.
The incident comes just two days after an Australian Defence Force base was plunged into lockdown after an intruder gained access to the site.
Military police continued to patrol the Lavarack Barracks in Townsville, North Queensland on Wednesday, while the gates to the base have been locked.
Visitors must have permission before entering the site.
It is an offence to enter a military base without it.
